Easy Peasy
Homemade pizza is easy to make. If you’ve never made it before, you’ll be happy to know that it’s not as intimidating as it may seem. With a GE Monogram Pizza Oven, it’s even easier. This special oven has the ability to heat up to 800 degrees! Start by taking a look at the selection of pizza styles the GE Monogram Pizza Oven provides on its touch screen to decide what temperature works best for what you want.
Here’s what you’ll need to make a simple pepperoni pizza:
Crust
2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon yeast
1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
Toppings
½-1 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 ½ cups pepperoni slices
1-2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Now that you have all the ingredients, you’re ready to dunk your hands in flour. Mix the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, water, and oil together in a big bowl. Put saran wrap over the bowl and let it rise in your GE Warming Drawer for 1 hour. If you don’t have a warming drawer, place it somewhere warm, so it will rise quicker.
Once the dough is done, flop it on your countertop with flour, so it doesn’t stick, and knead it. Once you’ve beaten the dough enough with your hands, it’s time to roll it out on a pan so it’s circular and flat. Pour the tomato sauce and spices over the dough. Add the mozzarella cheese, and then the pepperoni.
Now the big question: When can you eat it? Well, it only takes 2 minutes for it to cook. That’s right. You didn’t read that wrong. Only 2 minutes. The goal was to be quick, just like a pizzeria, and GE Monogram pretty much succeeded.
Let’s be honest, you can only eat pizza so many times before you need to chew on something else. That’s one great thing about the GE Monogram Pizza Oven – you don’t have to just make pizza. You can make paninis, flat breads, and more! Talk to a sales associate today at our store to find out more about this luxury appliance.
